"I was born in Jewish hospital and was delivered by a Jewish doctor in Toronto, despite neither of my parents being Jewish. However when I left the hospital, I was not circumcised and to this day I am still intact (uncircumcised). See my father is Italian and my mother is Dutch. They are also both Christians. Additionally they were both aware that there was no medical advantages of circumcision. For these reasons, they left me intact. Circumcision was never a viable option for my parents. No one in my family tree was circumcised, and neither was I.
Like half of Ontario's students, I attended the publicly funded Catholic school system. During this time I learned about circumcision. We learned that circumcision was a part of the covenant for the Jewish people but was not required for Christians.
Up until now (21 years old) I was blissfully unaware of circumcision. While I knew what it was, I did not think it was still practiced. For me circumcision was a barbaric tradition of the ancient people. It was only maybe still practiced by Jews, but not anyone else and certainly not Christians. For this reason I find the argument about a boy being teased for his foreskin silly. I most certainly was never teased.
Anyways, even in porn I never really noticed that the guys were circumcised. Though I did wonder why some of them had a ring around their penis and why there was such a sharp contrast in colouration. It wasn't until I was 18 did I notice a friend of mine was circumcised. When I first saw his penis I thought how ugly it was and how unlike any penis I saw before. He was the one who commented that I was not circumcised and he seemed to be positively in awe/envy of my penis. It wasn't until three years later that I became an intactivist. It was only because of a conversation with my friend about her experience as a volunteer at the hospital I was born at, did it hit me that circumcision was wrong.
One issue that I see many parents are concerned with is that of hygiene and their child not being able to get laid. I can attest that I have never experienced an issue with my penis. Besides the minor soreness from too much masturbation or sex. I cannot phantom how a circumcised guy can masturbate because my foreskin plays a key role in for me. For the most part, I am extremely healthy. Additionally I have no issue getting laid. Despite not currently having a girlfriend, my sex life is quite active. In fact, I have a friend with benefits.
In sum I am happy that I am intact. I will never have myself circumcised and I will never have my children circumcised. There is just no reason for circumcision. Additionally I am just way to attached to my foreskin both physically and emotionally."

"i failed. i couldnt go the whole day. i got to lunch and I said fuck this shit. If anything i just went through feels anything like what circumcision is like, i am telling you yes, the pain is enough to make a grown man cry. And cry hard. Very very hard. Even when i wasnt up around walking and just sitting or laying down (early this morning), it felt not right. I'd heard on here that the penis gets a callus but I didnt really quite understand just how callused a penis would need to be to survive everyday with a foreskin without severe pain. I just thought you would need like a small little callus. WRONGO. you would need a really really hard thick callus to survive. i'd also like to note that even going less than the whole day of having my foreksin retracted that my glans is very dry so that wholething about a foreskin keeping the head lubricated is very TRUE. In conclusion, I can honestly say I have no idea how any man survives day to day with no foreskin. even though i was against circumcision before this experiment, none of those facts about what a foreskin does hit home until today.Im a thousand times more thankful to have a foreskin. i didn't fully appreciate having one before now. this being said, im going to go get vaseline, take tylenol, and cry sporadically in my bed until the pain goes away."
